Solidarity Volume 1 is an upcoming charity compilation in support of Palestinian rights releasing on SESH FM 04/08/18 in collaboration with Wriggle and Wagwan. It features tracks from various Irish artists with a wide range of electronic genres.

It arose from growing dissatisfaction at the Irish Government’s refusal to condemn the genocide of Palestinian civilians. They refuse to act and remove Israeli diplomats in Ireland despite this being supported by the Dublin City Council. This project is a display of solidarity from all those involved.

Proceeds will be split between Addameer, a Palestinian institution, and the Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, the IPSC. ADDAMEER (Arabic for conscience) Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association is a Palestinian non-governmental, civil institution that works to support Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli and Palestinian prisons. Established in 1992 by a group of activists interested in human rights, the center offers free legal aid to political prisoners, advocates their rights at the national and international level, and works to end torture and other violations of prisoners' rights through monitoring, legal procedures and solidarity campaigns.
The IPSC was set up in late 2001 by a group of established Irish human rights and community activists, academics and journalists who were deeply concerned with the current situation in the Occupied Territories. In partnership with Palestinians now living in Ireland the IPSC was formed to provide a voice for Palestine in Ireland. They are an independent, non-party political organisation, run by volunteers all committed to a just and sustainable peace in the Middle East.

The connection between Ireland and Palestine is incredibly important. As a nation who has also experienced oppression from an occupying power it’s pivotal that we recognize the damage it causes for future generations.

We hope to develop Solidarity into a series of charity compilations with each release fundraising for a different cause.

There will be a launch party featuring DJs from the compilation, hosted in Limerick's Pharmacia on the night of launch, August 4th.
